BIOGRAPHY

Mike Shannon, Comes from Ontario, Canada. In 2004 he celebrated 40 years on stage. He started in the 60's as a Rock'n Roll singer and worked together with some of the greatest artists on this planet.

Like, Jerry Lee Lewis,Gene Vincent, Chuck Berry, Billy Fury, etc...

In the 80's He switched to Country music and performed with Famous stars like: Bobby Bare, Tom Russell and many more... In 1988 he moved to Europe, and finally settled down in Belgium.

With his orchestra “Mike Shannon and Friends" he toured throughout the whole of Europe, and won the country masters title.

He won several nominations and awards from the country & western association of Belgium.

After a two year break, Mike returned to the country world in 1999 with a new one-man show. A show that brings a mixture of classic and modern country music brought in his own unique style to please everyone with songs from Johnny Cash to Garth Brooks, sometimes adding Rock 'n Roll & Elvis songs and also performing duets with his friend Evy. And occassionally with his son Dylan. Who probably will follow his father’s footsteps.

In October 2000 Mike fulfilled a dream by performing on the stage of the Grand Ole Opry in Nashville (USA) and do a 4 week tour in de Southern States, where he performed in Branson, Memphis and Little Rock. As a solo-artist Mike performs regularly for enthusiastic audiences throughhout Belgium, Holland and Germany... With the occasional show in England too.

Country music is my first love and it sure wil be my last.
